The community café project:

A series of events has brought about an epiphany within me.  It is so powerful it literally shook me for about three days (and a few times since then).  This is my life purpose and the reason I came to this earth at this very time and place (wooo, feeling it again as I write those words).  The VERY clear message is/was that I am to open a community café in Boulder.  This is a project that unites my 22 years of cooking experience, my functional and recycled eco-art, the planetary service I'm here to do with several things I am passionate about ... feeding people, serving people, creating community, et cetera.

The café will operate on a pay-by-donation basis with no set menu and no set price.  Eaters will chose their portion and then pay a fair amount to support the next friend who's come to eat.  We'll have opportunities for those that need abit of a "hand-up" with a sweat equity exchange, as well as many educational and playful programs.  Locally grown organic produce and products will be featured in our daily no-menu menu selections.

Most of all, this is a gathering place.  Come join your community here.  At this point, we have a few folks stepping forward to co-create this place in the ways they know.  We sure could use more that feel aligned with this.  Financially, we'll need about $10-12K in seed money so we can use any monetary help you may give as well as those that will eat, play, love and roll up their sleeves with us.  That's it in a nutshell (an organic, local, fair-trade one of course)... the tribe gathers.

For those of you that don't know me and/or would prefer to know more please take a peek around the website and/or contact me and let's rendezvous over a cuppa tea!  much love! Sandy
